So, we won the 6 nations

Happy days, we won.

To be fair it was one of the best days of my life, as I was there in Cardiff, shouting and singing like a loon.
But the aftermath (I.e. the extreme gloating on facebook) has left a little bit of a sour taste for me.

Paul Brown (An American football coach) is quoted as saying
"When you win say nothing, when you lose, say less."

But that's something we Welsh have great trouble in doing in regards to the English.  We had to win by 7 points to take the championship, but most of us didn't really care about the championship we just cared about beating the English!

Why are we like that? Is it a rugby thing, or is it a bit more serious than that.  I'd say both....

An explanation of a name and purpose

Eh, Hello?  Anyone there?

Well just in case there is I better start of by introducing myself.  My name is Scatman.  Its not my real name, would any parent be that cruel?  But who uses their real name on the internet? Also I have to be a little careful due to the nature of my job, so if you do know in real life please don't use my name on here.

Before we go any further let me just say that the name has nothing to do with tracking animals or, more worryingly, a love of poo.  Its something I picked up from a mate because it sounds a little like Fatman and he can call me Scatman without people getting ratty with him.   Funnily enough I can make jokes about his lack of hair all day and no-one says a word, he calls me fat (there's no denying it, I am) and the world thinks he's evil incarnate!  I, also have a habit of fumbling my words when I've had a jar or two.

Anyway,  this is going to be my sounding board.  I'll be talking about the things I love and not necessarily in this order.
Warhammer 40k
Roller Derby
Rugby
Beer/Whisky
and my job

I'm a firm believer in keeping posts short, who wants to read an essay?  So that will do for now.

Talk soon.
